Infrastructure Administrator

The Infrastructure Administator monitors, administers and maintains the day-to-day operation of the infrastructure environment inclusive of the following technologies: Windows servers, SAN storage, backups and LAN/WAN networks.
This position provides second level technical support for all users and works in conjunction with the Help Desk support staff in the troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution of incidents. This position manages and coordinates vendors during break/fix situations and product/pricing negotiations. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 5-7 years of previous experience in a very similar role, and will possess the following skills and abilities: Experience in server and SAN technologies (HP servers and SAN), Experience administering Symantec Backup Exec or similar enterprise-level backup system Strong understanding of Windows Server & VMware technologies, SAN technologies, Active Directory and Group Policies, network infrastructure (Cisco), thin-client technologies (Citrix and Terminal Services) and Microsoft Exchange. Ability to manage vendor interaction/negotiation.
