New comfort food recipes to explore

"I think that the reactions to this cookbook are all about expectations. If you're looking for more of the same traditional "comfort food" recipes, you might be disappointed. But if you're looking for some new takes on the concept of "food that comforts," this is definitely worth a look. I was pleasantly surprised at how many of the recipes I want to try. Several of the recipes serve one or two, and since I'm single, this works great for me. The ingredients, for the most part, are readily available at local grocery stores. I've made 3 of the recipes so far, and they have all turned out great. Not too many ingredients, fairly straightforward preparation, and frankly delicious. This one is going into my kitchen cookbook "rotation" area for future use."

I don't understand all of the hate! Some very good

"I don't understand all of the hate! Some very good recipes and some I will not try, like every cook book. This is nice, I use some of the recipes in cold weather - cozy comfort food and some nice recipes to send to my older relative - well rounded. No one gets a cook book and utilizes every recipe. I wonder if all the 1 star ratings were for a refund?"

Worst cook book ever!

"Not one recipe to even try . . Nothing was appetizing enough to try."

Worst list of comfort foods

"This book does not have a single recipe of “comfort foods”. It was a waste of money and a disappointment."

worst cookbook I ever had

"The title is misleading. Nothing in this book is about comfort food. I was very disappointed."
