"There are two things about these lights that cause the low rating. First is the battery life is terrible. My intended use was to light up a book shelf. I added the lights and the brightness and battery life was not good. The second thing is that they all fell off. The sticky tabs used to hang them did not last. I would not purchase these."

Like majority reviews it takes a LOT of AAA batteries to start, my remote never worked but pushing on the lights itself does turn them on and the lights don't stay bright long.
