    "These plates are beautiful. Smooth. Thick. Sturdy. Shiny. Perfect size. Great detail. Awesome sale price. I ordered four sets of them and they have got to be the best-quality melamine dinnerware I’ve ever received from LTD/Lakeside. Unfortunate that the website’s pictures don’t truly represent the color, though. Although the description indicates that they’re IVORY, in the pics they appear white. [Attached is (apologies) an unprofessional picture I took to share with a friend who’s also in the market for some. It depicts their shade of off-white against white-white, their size, detail and sheen, though. ] This won’t be an issue for me since they don’t look horrible next to my existing white dinnerware, but a common mention within the other reviewers’ posts. I know they’ll look lovely atop the wine-colored charger plates I plan to use when hosting. Of course, not for microwave…and plan on hand-washing to maintain their luster. Very happy with this purchase and looking forward to impressing our dinner guests!"

    "I'm so pleased with the shape, pearl edge, weight. First I bought a dozen salad/dessert plates and then bought a dozen dinner plates. I would love yo see bowls in different sizes - a small fruit bowl and a slightly larger bowl that is a bit shallow for cereal and ice cream, pie a la mode, etc. Serving pieces, too. Great for year round home use and celebrations."

    The color is NOT white!

    "I bought 12 dinner plates and 12 solid plates. I am pleased with the quality of the melamine and the size and style of the plates. Using melamine instead of glass ensures no broken dropped plates and is a step up from paper plates. My only con is the photos appear to show white plates which is what I wanted and these are not white. They are not even off-white. They are leaning more towards a yellowish tan/dark ecru color. I attached a photo of them on a white table cloth. I decided to keep them even though the color is not what I want it since they are nice plates."

    Really Cute Plates

    "These plates are really cute! Just make sure you know what they are, they are plastic, not ceramic or glass. I don't think most people would realize they are plastic until they touch them. I bought both sizes to decorate place settings on my formal dining table (which I have not finished, but will include a pic). They do look nice."
