Fun toy but not much of a nail trimmer
"I bought this for times I care for my daughter's dog because she's traveling for work. He's a medium size, intelligent 7-year-old. He both scratches at the pads and noses the disks to reach his treats. It won't do much to trim his nails but he enjoys the play time."
It peaked my dogs curiosity.

"This worked out pretty well for my dog. He does not like his paws being touched at all, and I’ve had to get very creative regarding his nails. I’ve given him dog puzzles before and saw that he uses his paw so I figured he would on this as well and he definitely did. I saw the comments where people said their dogs used their nose so obviously for them it probably didn’t work, but for mine it definitely did. This alone will probably not be enough to keep his nails perfect but every little bit helps! I would recommend watching them to make sure they don’t overdo it with the scratching, Just to make sure they don’t file their nails too much or maybe even hurt their pads. Each individual dogs behavior would probably determine whether or not it’s going to be a good fit for them or not."
