"I bought the walnut desk and, overall, am very pleased with it. For the most part, the instructions were clear and easy to follow. Just take your time reading them. Also, I had a problem with the metal piece, because one hinge didn't lie completely flat. I have to say though, that this desk is nice looking, the right size, and I love the added storage."
"For the sale price, you simply cannot beat these desks. I have purchased four of them. The first two I purchased in Walnut and put on either side of the bed in my guest room so that there would be room for lamps, devices and decorative items or CPAP machines, etc. and it worked out perfectly. I then purchased one in White and another Walnut for my two young cousins for their new bedrooms. They are easy to put together in just a few minutes and for the price, simply cannot be beat. They have a modern look and seem fairly sturdy. I wouldn't go sitting on them or putting a ton of weight but it will easily hold a desktop computer and some books. Edit: As I was about to submit review, my cousin called to say the desks I bought for her children were NOT as easy to put together, pre-drilled spots were missing and as a result she could not put the metal door cover on one of the desks and instructions missing on one (she just used from the other box) So not everyone will have a great experience, if she cannot get hers together fully, I will contact Lakeside for replacement parts."
"I purchased this desk cause of its smaller size and I liked the storage. It replaced a much larger computer desk and fits much better in my ding room alcove. My husband said it wasn’t difficult to assemble, but took longer than expected. I do wish the wood had a satin or shiny finish."

"Like another reviewer, I bought this last year during a 75% of sale. Yes for under 30, this desk is a perfect 5 stars. I purchased 3 of them for 1 teen, and 2 tweens. They are the regular height for a desk, big enough for a laptop a small lamp and a drink. They fit together fine, you just need to pay attention to the parts. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. Its a sturdy desk if you take your time putting it together. 1 trick is do NOT tighten all the legs, until you have the top screwed on, then you adjust the legs a bit, so it all stands level. I also put a coat of polyurethane on top, because after all, its a mdf top. I would definitely buy again for 75% . It does look great when finished."

"I bought this for $25. 99, reduced from $129. 99 I believe. I would be furious if I’d pay full price! It for $25. 99 it’s okay. It’s smaller than I expected. Like a kid’s size. But that’s my fault for going by the picture and not checking the measurements. Directions were great. Assembly wasn’t. A couple of holes for screws were too big and screws went inside the leg. Never could get the knobs on the drawer but that’s fine. I don’t really need them. I like the color (Walnut), I like having the drawer and lots of space inside and I like the “look”. I’m making it work for what I intended, so I feel like I got a good deal overall."

"All the parts do not assemble evenly. Some of the screw holes are not deep enough for the screw to go fully in and others do not match up with the piece they should be attached to. Makes for a slightly wobbly/unsturdy piece of furniture. Not worth the money."
